1) How should the Snaan kriya be performed for gods murti?
-As humans take a bath every day in the morning to stay alert and fresh, even god should be given a bath every morning. In the Hindu religion, it is called snaan kriya or Abhishek of god. Murti Abhishek is first done by water, then with panchamrut consisting of milk, sugar, ghee, honey, and curd. Then gods murti is wiped with a fresh cloth. After that again the murti is washed with clean water. The last step in the snaan kriya is to do Chandan tikka on the forehead of gods murti, and shrunghar is done with new vaggha or clothes, ornaments and flowers.
2) Importance of gangajal.
-According to Hindu culture history, Ganga originated from the jata of Bhagawan Shiv, which is why the Ganga is considered the holiest river of India. The Ganga Jal is sprinkled around the house to spread positive vibes and remove negativity. Ganga is the river that grants her devotees wishes. So people consider taking a snaan or bath in this holy water, that purifies their heart, soul and body, it also removes all sins of your lifetime and forgives them. In every pooja kriya, Ganga Jal has a special place, it is considered so pure that every ritual is incomplete without Ganga Jal. Before special occasions like house inauguration, Katha or pooja, Ganga Jal is sprinkled everywhere because it makes the place pavitra ( sacred ).
3) Importance of lotus in pooja.
– Lotus is the main flower in the Hindu religion. It is the symbol of Goddess Laxmi. On the day of Diwali and Dhanteras, pooja is done in which lotus play’s the most important role. Lotus is the symbol of divine nature and humanity. Including lotus in pooja brings wealth, health and prosperity to you and your family. The Lotus flower teaches us to bloom in darkness, to neglect the bad and stay pure from the heart.
